Some things are not obvious. Some truths are subtle. Sometimes that which makes the biggest difference is a quiet voice within, persistently urging you to heed its call. Perhaps depression, worry, compulsions, resentment, ongoing grief, and the rest are not just the result of a neurochemical imbalance, but the outpicturing of a call left unanswered. Of a life misprioritized, conflicted, and left on hold.
I work with adults, couples, adolescents, and children to uncover and remove that which obstructs them from living their truth. In our work together, we will create a safe place to explore the landscape of your psyche. In doing so, we will attempt to understand what it is that has gotten in the way of your fulfillment in work, relationships, and play. I am a psychodynamic therapist, which is just to say that my therapy creates opportunities for the things that are held out of awareness to come forth and light our way. My style is also informed by over a decade of personal mindfulness and contemplative practice.
Psychotherapy isn’t just floating in the wind, endlessly unpacking the past. It delivers tangible results on the path towards self-realization. I’ll be your fellow traveler on this path, an expert-witness who will help you set your compass, stay on course, and avoid pitfalls. Your gains will be hard-won, but you will know you have accomplished something meaningful by a greater sense of inner freedom. At some point, you may even begin to take pleasure in the process of uncovering the profound expression of your highest potential.
